Outdoor Roller Coaster Toy For Kids

There are several options for an Outdoor Roller Coaster Toy For Kids for you to choose from. All 3 options are great choices, and it really depends on what you’re looking for and the age of your kids.  Below I’ll discuss the pros and cons of each roller coaster, and give you an idea which would be best for your child.

Roller coasters fascinate most kids, so it’s only natural that toy companies would create a variety of roller coaster toys.   The toys featured on this page are designed for toddlers and preschoolers, but if you have older kids you can find some roller coaster toys HERE for them.

I have two boys, ages 6 and 13, and they both love roller coasters.  My oldest son used to ride a kiddie coaster all the time back when we lived near an amusement park, and he loves playing coaster video games.  My youngest son has always used his plastic ride on toys  on a ramp his dad helped him build, and he still does this.  Because he loves doing this so much, I am considering the Step2 Extreme Coaster as a Christmas present for him this year since it’s for kids up to 8 years old and has a 75 lbs weight limit, which he is nowhere near yet.

Thomas Roller Coaster Toy

This roller coaster toy is the best one to choose if you have a toddler that loves Thomas The Train.  This train is fun for indoors or out, and your toddler will have a blast playing with it.  It is recommended for 2-5 year olds.

Best Outdoor Roller Coaster For Toddlers

This roller coaster has been around for the longest, and I think it’s the best choice for toddlers.  If you buy it when you’re kids are around 2 years old, they’ll get a good 3 years out of this toy.  That’s a great return on your investment!

This one is recommended for ages 2 -5, and can be used outdoors as well as indoors. Step 2 is a name associated with quality products, and that’s exactly what you’ll get from this coaster.  It’s made from heavy duty plastic and is durable and easy to care for.  Parent reviews are excellent on this toy, and it’s highly rated as well.

If you’re looking for a toy for a toddler for Christmas or a birthday, this a great choice for indoors or out.

Best Feature: Well over 350 parent reviews claiming this is an excellent product.

Best Outdoor Roller Coaster Toy For Boys

The truth is, this roller coaster is great for boys or girls, but I think it’s a better choice than the one above for boys.  Most boys love small cars, and this coaster has a race track built in.  Some girls love cars as well, so if they do, this would be perfect for them too.  This one also has a neat feature that parents love, it packs neatly into the platform that turns into a bin when flipped over.  This feature makes storing this toy much easier for parents.

While reading the reviews on Amazon, a parent mentioned only bringing this coaster out of the closet every few days so it would stay fresh and fun.  I don’t think it’s necessary, but it’s a great idea if you have a child that tires of things easily.  The reviews for this one are excellent!

Best Feature: Race Track and Coaster in one.

Best Outdoor Roller Coaster Toy For Older Kids

This coaster is for 3 years to 8 years, so this is an excellent choice if you have an older toddler, preschooler, or big kid as my 6 year old describes himself.  This coaster is amazing!  It has better safety than the others because of it being higher.  The car has a place for your child to put his or her feet instead of having to hold their feet out and this makes it less likely that your child will fall.  There are also steps in the middle of the track for your child to push the car back up and then go back down and around to ride again.  It has excellent reviews on Amazon as well.   This will last for years to come.

Best Feature: 75 lbs weight limit.
