There are a variety of infant balls for babies and toddlers available. There are electronic balls, soft balls, and interesting balls with holes in them. They come in a variety of colors, patterns, and textures so that your baby or toddler will stay interested, have fun, and learn more.
Babies and small children are sponges that soak up information from all around them. You may not think they get much information from a ball, but they do. They’re processing textures, sounds, and movement constantly. When a baby or toddler rolls a ball, they’re learning that they can affect the world around them. When you roll the ball back, they’re learning that their actions can cause others to do things. They’re playing games, but they’re also learning so much.
Both of my boys loved balls when they were babies, toddler, and now that they’re in 4th grade and a teen, they still do love them. Now of course the balls have changed over the years though. The youngest loves his bouncy ball with a handle and his football, and the oldest loves his basketball. It’s funny how things change, but they stay the same.
These balls will make excellent baby shower gifts, gifts for a grandchild or niece/nephew, and of course they’re great gifts for your own child. There are so many balls to choose from, but I’ve narrowed them down below and have sorted them into sections so you can shop based on what you’re looking for. All of them are great choices when lookig for infant balls for babies, toddlers, and other small children.

Oball – The Infant Ball With Holes
Oball is a great ball for babies and toddlers. The holes make them easier for babies to grab and throw. They come in a variety of bright colors, and some are multicolored. Some of them have rattles that add to the simulation your baby receives. There is a Football Oball, and even some odd shaped “balls” and other oball toys. All of these are great choices. Babies will love being able to grasp the toy easily, and will love improving their throwing technique.
Texture Infant Balls And Other Sensory Balls For Babies
Babies and Toddlers both seek sensory input, and these balls will provide that for them. There are a variety of textures on the balls below for your child to explore. It’s honestly difficult to choose just one from this category, but think about your child’s needs at this time. The teether balls are great for babies who are teething, but they’re also easy to grab. The variety packs will give your baby a choice. The ball with multi-textures would be great for toddlers and older babies because they would be able to discover what each texture felt like.
Vtech Baby Ball And Other Electronic Infant Bals
There are a variety of electronic balls for babies and toddlers. Some of these play music, some make sounds, some light up, and some wiggle. Many of these also have tags or ribbons so that your child will be able to grip them easier. Electronic balls will hold your child’s interest, and will have them giggling non stop.
Squeaky Infant Balls
Babies and toddlers love squeaky balls. Both of my boys used to play with my mom’s dog’s squeaky balls. At first there was always a shock at the sound, and then a grin. I can tell you I never got tired of seeing that.
Ball Pit Balls
At some point your child is going to ask for a ball pit, or at the very least some of these ball pit balls. This is one purchase I never regretted. Clean up can be a bit tiring, but little ones love to pick these balls up and put them in a container. If you buy a ball pit that’s a great place to store them or an alternative is a baby pool. If you want to let them “run loose”, a large plastic container works well, but so do pop up hampers.

Soft Cloth Balls For Babies
Babies like soft things, and as a plus, parents don’t have to worry much about them. these balls are soft, but they have interesting shapes, tags, or loops for your child to play with. They also make it easier for your baby to grip. The monkey ball with tags is my favorite.
