Here you’ll find the best kids ride on train toys. Ride on toys are great for older babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and even older kids. The ride on toys change as kids age, but the fun doesn’t. Most young kids love anything that goes including trains, cars, trucks, planes…. They’re just fascinated with different types of vehicles. Well, at least my boys were.
When my oldest was a toddler his favorite toy was a ride on train that made sounds. He would ride it all over our house and he’d ride it in our yard. He spent hours a day playing with his train. One of the best parts about his riding train is the seat lifted up to reveal a small storage area. He loved to fill his train with small toys, rocks, and he’d even stuff snacks in there if I didn’t watch him carefully. He would say choo choo, choo choo, and the giggles were non stop. He also had another light up train toy he loved.
My youngest son is 7 years younger than my oldest, and I would have never guessed that they would be so alike. My youngest son had his own ride on train toy as well, very similar to the one his older brother had. He was also fascinated with both Thomas and Dinosaur train, and he would play with his train while he watched his train shows. My youngest son is still fascinated with trains and he’s 7 now. He loves to watch real trains, and he adores Christmas trains, but I know he wishes he wouldn’t have outgrown his ride on train.
Back to the ride on train toys, if there is ever a toy I can recommend it is a ride on train for toddlers, babies, and preschoolers. It’s something that will withstand years of play if taken care of. And these train toys do not break easily. My sons were never easy on toys, and they both had their toys for years. If you leave a plastic ride on in the sun, the color will fade, but that is the only problem I ever remember having with ours.
